Convey… Wow… So much to do.
Hey everyone. I hope thing’s have been going great with regards to everyone’s year. Let me just say that Convey has been busy, working hard and getting more and more excited about more and more things.
So to give everyone a bit of a low down.
After our gig at The Church with My Own Accord, Against Atlas, and Dublin Free Press, we got the pleasure to play at The Greatest Bar with the Phillip Noss Band and No Soap Radio.
In a fit of joy and excitement after the Church gig, we finished and finalized two new songs and got to premier them in front of a packed house and the Greatest Bar and are excited to keep the momentum going.
Now I’m not one to get into crazy specifics about things but I can mention a few things: watch for several awesome gigs throughout Boston coming up in the following months, if you can’t make it to one we guarantee you can make it to another.
Also would anyone like to own a Convey t-shirt. Check out our facebook page and look out for some updates and you can help us print some shirts and possibly snag a signed one for yourself, maybe a signed album too!
So at any rate Convey is super excited to keep all the momentum going, with more gigs, more merch, new songs.
Hope everyone is welcoming spring in as we are.

P.S. Check out our friends at Hyphen - Productions.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Convey wishes everyone a Happy Halloween.
Thank you to the Jessica Prouty Band for helping us get a gig at one of our favorite venues: The Sad Café. Overall the show on Friday was phenomenal we were all excited to play and thanks to our friends we should have everything from: pictures courtesy of Scott Eisen to Video shot by Ariel Levitan to audio thanks to the Sad Café. We had an awesome time.
Convey spent their Halloween partying throughout Boston and enjoying the city a bit after a great gig. As Convey is moving into the month of November, there has been a recent push towards developing an efficient writing strategy. We have a lot of great ideas, but needless to say we are perfectionist bastards. Speaking for myself and after talking with Ben, we are trying to put some of our perfectionist habits aside to complete a song then break it down to the small details. We’ll let you know how it goes. But we hope those of you who saw us at The Sade Café liked our new song. We have another one 90% finished that we’re hoping to perform at our next show, which I will post ASAP.
Aside from preparing for the coming month, we’re hard at work hoping to get some new stuff out for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks for listening.

SUNDAY'S SHOW
Ladies and Gentlemen:I thought I would thank all of you for coming out. The show was sweet, I really enjoyed playing for all of you guys and as always thank you to Tyler Bernard for helping us set up the show as well as our buddy Shred from Shred Productions.
So what’s happening with Convey post-show well incase all of you were curious we usually stop by our favorite eatery Anna’s Taqueria out in Brookline. Beyond that the band is in full swing trying to book gigs throughout Mass with our next gig so far coming up in late October, but we’ll try and sneak one in before that. We’ve been throwing around some new material at rehearsal and hope to start finalizing it into new songs. So what I’m really trying to say is we’re hoping to have new music for you guys to come out and listen to.
So many of you may be wondering what our album title in fact means a priori. In fact a priori refers to a type of knowledge, being the type that is independent of experience. Now I know you’re wondering why name it that, lets just put it simply that the thought of our music being something that you already know without having to experience makes the actual experience of it more intimate and powerful. Yes this is philosophical theoretical… BS, but we enjoyed the thought nonetheless.
So one last thing being that our album artist is… Alicia Viola! You can see her work on our album if you buy it on iTunes and download the tracks with the album art. It’s pretty awesome.
So until next time everyone thanks for coming out to our show.
For Convey,
This is Adam.
GUYSSS!
So this has been a crazy summer and I don’t know if anyone has been paying attention but I hope you have been. So we’re super pumped for our first gig of the 2010 Fall season, thank you TYLER!
The Middle East – Cambridge, MA Sunday September 12th
So to let you in on what we’ve been up to this summer, aside from releasing our first full-length album (we know we only did it digitally be patient we know CD’s sound better and if we had the resources we’d send all you audiophiles out there a signed vinyl, but we don’t so don’t get your hopes up). So be sure to check at a priori in iTunes conveniently we are actually the only band named Convey on iTunes, at least last time we checked.
Nonetheless I thought I’d post a little something for everyone before our show the Sunday. So on the new album we have some original artwork, I will possibly give the artist credit on the next Blog entry but I’ll ask first before I just say it. Jahan’s philosophy about Convey has often been the combinations of odd or awkward puzzle pieces to create something grotesquely breathtaking. The artwork depicts a praying mantis consuming the head of a deceased rabbit. The rabbit’s foot then transforms into tree roots towards the end of the image. The image is simply artwork how the individual understands it is solely up to them, Jahan’s philosophy may have been a predominant factor in the production of the image, but perhaps you think it is something else.
So if you read our blog and are excited for our show coming up, post a response tell us what you think of the album or if you’d rather not share your thoughts with the world e-mail us on our webpage, just click contact.
For Convey,

What's left? Well as of now we have to get some vocal tracks down then some mixing and it looks like our new album will be completed on time with regards to our schedule, but here is the ultimate question, when are we going to release this album? Well our planned release time will be this fall, so look out for the first official Convey album.

Studio Adventures! Part ONE
So just to let everyone know we have officially headed into The Getaway Group in Wakefield, MA.
We started recording on Monday and things are going great, we already have 32 stars on the Super Mario 64 challenge, only 88 more stars to go! WOO! Understandably guys we are only going to be in the studio for a week so let me know if you really think I should update another Studio Adventures; I won't guarantee anything but I will try. So drum tracks went smoothly in as well as some fat bass lines on top, looks like we're making some awesome progress and the tracks sound great already. We really hope everyone is enjoying Summer as much as we are, and we have been talking about playing some shows later this month so if you have any suggestions let us know.
Wish us luck on Super Mario.
peace.
-Muffin

We're Happy to Announce
With much anticipation, and a great deal of effort and hard work Convey's album is finally going to be released. Though we cannot announce a release date as of yet, Convey is well prepared for an early release in the upcoming new year. It has been a Happy Holiday for us as members of the band, not only spending time with our families, but finishing up the final mixing stages at The Getaway Group. Thanks to our engineer Jay and all the hard work he's put forward. We can officially announce that we are in the final stages, Convey's album should be expected for digital release soon.
Thanks to those fans keeping up with us.

Hey everyone, this is Chris. I just wanted to write up a quick note letting you all know that I am officially retiring from Convey. It's been a really fun ride since the beginning, and I really enjoyed recording and playing shows with the guys. There isn't really one specific reason why I've decided to step back... it's just the right thing for me and the band at this point. Things are really moving along and I'm excited to see what happens for Convey in the future.
Peace.
Chris

Things are happening. We are in the middle of working on our demo at Berklee, with one short recording session already finished. Big show coming up this Friday in Belmont, check out the shows page for details.
Also, for all you bands out there trying to get the word out about yourselves, we recommend you check out a site called Grassrootsy – they recently wrote an article about indie marketing for bands, focusing on the marketing plan that we created and intend to follow.
